Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Distinguished Chair in Psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in the legal setting. Professor Goodman's publications are extensive, she has received numerous grants and is the recipient of numerous awards the national level and international. She has worked with many organisations and governments across the world on policy and research relating to children who are victims of the legal system. She works as a Consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of several professional associations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family Policies and Practice.
